Martin's column in the Sunday Times that he wrote which said that the FIA were on a witch hunt has caused Mad Max to now sue the paper!!!

What happened to freedom of speech in this country. Oh I forgot, the President of the FIA is a Nazi. You going to sue me now Mr Mosley?

Can I be a witness on behalf of the defence please. It is blatantly obvious that the FIA has a vendetta against McLaren and Martin is right to point it out. Just hope he still gets his passes for next year.

This may be the first time I have ever been pleased that Murdoch has so much money - at least the Sunday Times can fight the case fully and air all of the FIA's dirty washing in public.

The Times could surely afford to sponsor a 'Max is a twunt' McLaren livery, after all, it can't get any worse for them.

This could be fun. Of all the people to sue, Murdoch must be one of the ones to avoid. This would give the opportunity to introduce all sorts of evidence in open court that the FIA don't want to be heard.

It makes me wonder what the motivation for it is. If there really were no agenda against McLaren, the FIA could just shrug their shoulders and carry on. The fact they are willing to take legal action over this seems to me that that it has offended Max's ego, and with any luck it will be his undoing.

Just a random thought, but can anyone remind who Brundle drove for in 1994? And that driver he manages, Scottish fellow, raced for the same team too if I recall...

Indeed, the man is clearly out of control. First Stewart, now Brundle, anyone who speaks out against him. There needs to be a vote of no confidence.

Relatively speaking depthwise, RM is to BE as the Marianas Trench is to the Thames Estuary.

And there are many that would like to see them take up residence at some depth in said channels!

I think this is actually a great move. Instead of the WMSC kangaroo court, an actual proper court with proper standards of evidence is going to shine its light on the affair, and they'll be able to compare Renault's treatment to McLaren.

Max has just ed himself.

According to the forbes rich list RM has a wealth of $9 Billion and BCE a paltry $3.6 Billion... pauper..

What matters is how deep the FIA's pockets are, not BCE's. As it happens, they are $50M deeper than they ought to be, but still not all that deep.

It is very hard to believe that this benign story, in which Brundle clearly states that he:
a), is speculating a personal opinion, and
b), is not sure that he's sure of that opinion, only that it may be credible,
then it is very hard to see how the FIA can claim either that they have suffered damage or even that what Brundle said was not already believed by many.
