The FIA are investigating, it was a Mercedes taxi and the FIA think they may have found
out some Ferrari driving techniques....

There was a great story in F1 Racing about one of the journos getting a lift to the French GP in an NSX Type-R with Anthony Davidson. I seem to remember the chap taking a phone call during a particularly erm, spirited section and not being able to speak.

I'd love to go for a passenger ride with an F1 driver.

hmm i seam to recall gilles villeneuve giving someone a scare in a daytona on the way to maranello... that would be fun! Didn't evo try to re-create tat journey with an enzo? I think clarkson' has had some 'hairy' rides with some of btcc's finest!

Taxi driver got paid for a passenger ride with one of F1's greats... and he gets a huge tip, too!

of course if this happened in the uk, he would be done for driving without insurance, the taxi driver would have been subpoened to give evidence of speeding, dangerous driving, running red lights etc, and schummi would be facing a 5 stretch behind bars.. and ferrari wouldn't be able to twist the FIA's arm to do anything about it...

there would also have been a big fuss in the paper and the speed kills nobbers would of called for ban on... something.

Yes, there's that. Hang on, it happened in Germany. Aren't they supposed to be really strict about rules? Or are we so miserable that it would only be a problem in this country?

I remember that. Apparently he borrowed the team principal's own car and afterwards "it never drove the same again"!
