To be honest they could have done a lot better. No RS500 / M3 and the ropes were too close to the cars for decent shots.

Indeed. I was disappointed with the Touring Car "Display" as it was my main target at this year's show.


Mike Jordan's Integra is a personal favourite of mine as it's always so well presented but i've got hundreds of shots of that car and the Team Halfords/VXRacing cars that were also on display. It was the older cars from the Sierra Cosworth/M3/Carina etc backwards that i wanted to see.

Still, the MK1 Lotus Cortina was absoloutely beautiful and the Mondeo from 2000 was a welcome sight too.

What, no Cossie or M3? What about RX7, Rover, Mini, Mk2 Jag? (I did look at links and couldn't see any in the photos, all good by the way!!)

They had a Mini Clubman and Rover SD1 on display. Was good to see your dad's Magnum, too. If anything, the focus was too much on modern cars - perhaps not their fault, they are probably easier to source. But two Integras in lieu of an RS500 or M3 seemed a bit of a shame

Sounds like a bit of poor effort to celebrate 50 years but I bet there was some interesting cars anyway. Glad there was a Vauxhall, as for it being Dad's or not is not for me to say.

Shame the CAV was a show car and not a race car!

The mondeo and Audi were my 2 faves as had a connection working with the mondeo and the Audo engineering is amazing for its time.
