prop. shaft tunnel.

I't looks like there has been fitted a top shield to the prop. tunnel, on the race car. there's not one on the 400SE.

Was this standard on the 2.8's or was this added to the race cars.

It's a very very tight fit on a 400SE prop. we had to bend the shield a little to get it to fix.

Also it does not give us a lot of options for gearbox mounting with it this close. so was wondering if it was needed.

the early 2.8s ran a silencer above the gearbox .. is the heatshield a left-over from that i wonder?

I spoke to Kevan, and he said he thinks it was added by more racing.

I'll try and leave it as will protect me if every the prop did fail.
