I'm setting up my car, I need to have the front set with 15 mins toe out which I know is an included angle ie 7.5 each side but my tracking gauges are Millemetres and the book says 1.58 millimetres. Does this mean 0.79 each side or is it 1.58mm each side on the gauge. I'm using a Balco 4 wheel alignment system.
A bit of a daft question to some but I'm not a mechanic etc so any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

question,

how big are the rimms? without this, you cannot convert from degree's to mm

15 minutes is 0.25 degree's, and in conventional terms, that will be a total figure - ie. between the front wheels, so you need 0.125 degrees per wheel.

1.58 mm is the figure given in the autodata handbook for my particular vehicle, I just don't know if you split the figure over both sides the same as you do when in minutes.

so you have 14" rimms then?

and no, you figure they quote is total, ie. half each side...
