There are least two and possibly even an RSR but that remains to be seen as fact. The problem is making the Cup competitive, against a Viper or Mosler the Cup is seriously outgunned mainly in the corner speed department with its puney front tyres.

Thankfully the rules allow enough scope to bridge the gap, but that takes time and money of course.

Dont know who has got them however whoever has should I reccommend talk to the guys at Oakley Design; they seem to know what they are doing with these things!

My RS has vastly improved with there suspension and carbon wheels, I've done this before I ship it to Dubai next month.

I believe they have a 997 cup car they are working on?

On the Gold Track day last week there GT3 road car went round the outside of Nigel Rice at Silverstone in 996 Cup Car! Unbelieveable! And trust me the cup car was trying (I got passed by the both of them!)

Jack,

Are you relocating to here or shipping your car for an event.
You may be aware there are a few of us PHers based here who might be interested to have a ganders if something is going on.

Cheers,

Slightly off topic for this post however to answer your question semi relocation. I will be back and forth abit but the plan is to ship it next week.

On topic: Spoke to Jon (Oakley) this morning. He was telling me about the suspension work they have been doing on the cup car. This is the same suspension as in on my RS and I can tell you massive improvement (and no I dont get paid from them!). Anyway I saw another post about this under the GT section from Oakley Design. Jon was excitied on the phone this morning and tells me that at Zandvoort they were going 4.5s quicker than any other cup car there! Apperently onlookers filled the garage in the afternoon trying to see what was speicial on the car!

Also of interest is they are 90% certain to be shipping the car out to Dubai for a week or so within the next few months. I will meet them out there if they do.

Ah... yes... deepest and sincerest apologies for the minor thread hijack.
I was just thinking a welcome mat might be appropriate.

Shall not do it again.

As you were.
