3.73 diff is the most common in the Tuscan but can vary.

we fitted a 3.4 -1 hydratrac to our griff had to modify and remake the mount brackets, also alter chassis bracing, the driveshaft bolts are a different thread. i think the ajps use 3.73 - 1 because they rev higher than the rv8s tony

Hi Tom,94 griff will only have mounts for gkn, standard ratio was 3.3,and as andy said 3.7 for racer.parts are quite rare for these now so you may be better off with btr and choice of 3.2,3.45,and 3.7...

Hi Tony,

my 94 griff uses the GKN, and has done from new. Only broken one (crown wheel) and that was on change down with slix. It had done 50k!

I have 3 now.
3.1/3.3/3.7 I beleive and they do make a huge difference to acceleration/top end running short at Brands and long at Snett? However, with the agro of changing them the std diff is the best all rounder and the difference is possibly too great-if that makes sence?

Anyway, with 300/tonne atw, the GKN should be OK. You can find them from £150 up off low mileagae cars

Is the difference between the griff gkn and the racer gkn, just the back cover on the diff?

I've got a stock back cover that came with the gkn in the shed, that I replaced with the racer one..
