Any Pistonhead event at Oulton park?

I was just wondering if Pistonheads are organising anything for Oulton Park this year? I know I'll be there camping there with my wife and kids as usual from Friday to Monday (even better this year thanks to free tickets! ) It would be good to meet up with peoples again.

Hehe, certainly. Two years ago I camped next to a marshall called Mick. I bumped into him last year as well and we spent Sunday afternoon enjoying the F1 race in the bar while my wife decided to take the kids for a walk around the track....perfect way to spend the day off!

Most of us tend to supply our own beer as it's much cheaper and we're all for saving money considering we do this all for free.

We do get drinks bought for us now and then and there are other benefits, but it's still a long day and we've got to be up at 6am each morning to get to sign-on at 7am.

Some are trying to get a marshals only camping area so that those that want to can get a good night's sleep instead of having music playing a couple of feet away from their tent/caravan/motorhome/etc. Personally, after enough to drink, I don't car what anyone else is doing

I know it's the members practice weekend IIRC, and I might make it on the Sunday.

I've promised to myself to try and split my time between Anglesey, Oulton, Loton and Aintree - but with out of overseas work commitments & date clashes it's going to be more difficult than last year.

tell me about it - add in splitting between Anglesey, Oulton, Loton, Aintree AND Harewood... with priority to the speed events and remembering that Lady S doesnt want to spend every weekend marshalling... i think i'll only make it to 1 or 2 circuit races this season.

Hi there,

If you mean the British GT teams then the Media Day is at Silverstone on 6th March. All of the teams should be announced either before then or on the 6th.

I am going on the 6th and will post some pics of the 2008 cars as soon as I get home.

Not taking anything away from the Lambo's but they arent really Italian any more, more German given that Audi run the show under the watchful eyes of VW and Porsche!
