They might as well have offered $2000000 per win, and won't get anywhere near the front of the grid. Knock on wood, of course.

Not exactly desperate, having win bonus' in F1 isn't anything new, most race team personnel will be on a points bonus by year end.

Shouldn't think it normally feed down to the cleaners in the factory offices though.

They were on a points bonus when Button had his bumper year and then changed it to a heavy win bias for the following year, without the desired effect!

Our next door neighbour works for an F1 team and he says that most of the staff are on bonuses directly related to the driver's podium finish. For example (depending on seniority of course the payments are greater but you get my drift) £1,000 for 1st, £500 for 2nd and £250 for third.
