I am there racing a Ferrari 360 in Britcar and our Beemer with Steve in PS1. Not carrying number 1 on our car as James won't let us. Worked our tits off all year but can't carry number 1 on the car because he says so! Wonder why we bother really!

Oh please..... its a number and your not doing Britcar as team anyway so wheres the problem?

We are not doing Britcar in Class 3 cos there are not enough cars entered to allow us to score points.
James clearly does not want class 3 & 4 cars in Britcar and would much rather see class 1 & 2 cars.
We are racing the Ferrari 360 in Class 2, but for some reason, JT will not let us run with No 1??????
If you had won the Championship then i am sure you would want to run with Number 1.
Yes it is just a number, but we won it and you didn't!!!!

come on, chill man, why shouldn't they run under number 1, for if they don't then nobody else should, for at least they earned the right to display it, somewhere !!!!I tell you what lads, why not write " numero uno" down both sides of the Italian stallion, and then on the bonnet have a clenched fist with the middle finger erect !!

We are with you in class 2, a bog standard 996 cup car covered in flags as we couldn't be buggered to come up with something new for 2008, anyway it looks good .............. even if the logo's are peeling a touch

You could make up some jackets with number 1 Britcar 2007 on the back, then we would all remember

Anyway you got a nice shiny pot, surely thats enough

To be fair though if your both in the same car racing in Britcar NOT S1 then you should have the 1. If thats not the case.... get over it...

No engine only arrived on Sat and it needs fitting and mapping and a exhaust system making plus a lot more and's ?
I suppose its not a bad thing as the budget is a liitle tight (due to having to get married on the 25th May 08) and driving on my own but the team is there with a Mosler so roll on Snett I cannot wait.

Whoa guys - just writing the programme notes, based on information provided, and no indication that Bell and Leith were racing in Britcar or PS1 - had you down for Britsports.
Give me the lowdown - who's car /team, etc, so that I can get it right before it goes to the printers.
Post it here, or steve.wood@britcar24hrs.co.uk if you want a modicum of privacy.

We will be there with the Viper in Class 1 (Mike Gardiner and Alex Mortimer driving).
Unashamed plug: If anyone is interested we have a Maserati for GT Cup from the second round onwards. Very pretty car and easy to drive. If you have some budget then please pm/email (or go throught the website in my profile) me and we can discuss.

PS Hi Rod how is life? Are you racing with Jan again? Speak soon.

Yeah, Jan is racing with me again, I think this is the 10th or 11th year of our partnership through Tuscans, BGT, and Britcar and that must go down as one of the longest team combinations, we are also trying for the oldest driver pairing as we have 115 years between us, I fear that we might be a year out though, if Ian flux isn't telling porkies about how old he is

What are you driving?

Fluxie had his third 50th birthday party last year.
Ah ha!! so unless his race partner is over 65, which I don't think he is, then we can claim the title. I'm sure they were claiming 116 years between them.
Silly subject really, but when you are as short on titles as we are, anything will do
