I probably am - have good stand tickets reserved which I understand have cost circa Sing$1,000 for all 3 days including admission (which I think is only £60 in any event). Depends on how much they load the flight prices as to whether I go though...it's usually not too expensive on Sing Air (so much better than BA....) but I bet the prices ratchet up...I may look at flying to Kuala Lumpur as an alternative.

$1000 Sing is Approx £340.
Got my tickets, realy want to get to drive the track too

Unless you have a package i think that hotels close to the circuit will be extortionate (30% "race tax" will be applied to all rooms before an uplift) but if you want any "local verification" on other hotel choices i am happt to check them out

Thanks. That is where we are staying.
Request as high a floor as possible (if i recall correctly they have "business class" at the top 2 floors with free interweb etc. Also ask for a city / pool view as this will look over the race track. From where it is, you wont see any racing from the room, but you will see all the surrounding action.
I stayed there about 3 years ago when here on business before i moved out perminantly (again)

Re venues - Raffles is fun for the slings and unlimited peanuts...but 20 bucks a piece for slings...
I'd also recommend that bar on the 70thodd floor of the Swisshotel in Raffles Plaza for a fantastic view of the city...
I've got my flight and tickets booked, fortunately Mrs Spanners sister lives in Singapore (Faber Heights) so accomodation is taken care of!
I did let my brother in law book the GP tickets though and I believe we are on one of the floating pontoons down near the Esplanade, just hoping we get a reasonable view otherwise I'll be watching it again on the telly!
