Hillclimb Motor Clubs

I'm in the midst of rebuilding a Mini, the original intention was to create something fun for the weekend and the occasional trackday, however I'm now thinking of hillclimbing/sprints. Always wanted to have a crack at that so thought it best to think ahead and make sure I could take it racing at some point without too much drama and modification required.

To that end I'm planning on getting a non-race Nat B licence, so I can ensure the car is built to Blue Book spec, and join a motor club so I can spectate at a few events and see what I'm getting into! That sound like a good plan? There seems to be a few clubs in the Warwickshire area (I'm based in Leamington) can anyone recommend one?

Is also the Midland Automobile Club so should be good.
However a local motor club that is affiliated to the MSA might be better.
As for building a car for sprint/hillclimb regulations try looking at the championship web pages such as:
http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/regulations.htm might save you some agro/dosh ensuring that you don't go to far and still comply with a class that you think will be competive in.
