Suspension Guides?

Can anyone recommend a good online resource for info on adjusting suspension? A mate has just fitted some KW variant 3's to his car and I could do with doing some research..

adjusting it in what way? damper settings/ride height/corner weighting? what car?

Damper settings and ride height and their effect on the handling dynamics of the car..

It's a corrado VR6, but I'm not looking for specific advice, more pointers to good resources to help me gain a better understanding of suspension.

Competition Car Suspension
can be had for about a tenner on amazon.

Mine is the hardcover - Dec 1999 version - with the yellow car on the front.

I't a bit of a dry read, but there are two great problem solving flow chart on page 238 & 238.

One addresses oversteer, the other understeer and when it occurs, you know stuff like corner entry/mid/exit and whether you are coming on/off the brakes/accelerator.

Well worth getting a copy - I used it with great success for playing GT4

I have a guide scanned on my pc called 'handling workshop'. Very straightforward, runs through symptoms and remedies ect. Used it on our formula ford - good for clarifying your thought processesif your a bit stuck.

if you're good with math, the bible is the book by milliken and milliken. its expensive though.

Also v diff to get hold of!

Carroll smith does a good 'pocket engineer' guide which is also quite useful.

There is a good introductory book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Performance-Handling-Handb...

which is better than the front cover suggests. It has a great section on tuning your suspension with the aid of a tyre pyrometer.

Here is another very informative book How to make your car handle

I found it incredibly easy to read and very enjoyable. I was complemented on reading it by a guy on my flight back from the WRC in Sweden one year, he said - 'all our lads have read it' - he turned out to be the chief engine designer for Subaru!
