Ouch.

Why so definate John? There are obviously plenty of other Rally forums to go to, but there are plenty of other motorsport forums full stop. BritishRally.com is the main resource but it's tainted by a handful of miserable sods, I'm sure it'd be more fun on here.

Although Pistonheads is more sportscar than rally-rep I guess.

i mean no, to do we need a subforum for rallying, not no, we shouldn't talk about rallying, which we do already anyway. smile

You can't drag a £1 million corperate entertainment complex to a rally, so it must be crap.

There are proper rally sites out there, however i won't publicise them as that would probably fall foul of whatever set of rules we're working under today smile

Hmmm well I suppose you do have a point...but Ive just got back from servicing on the TAC rally in Belgium in a fairly large town called Teilt and we totaly took it over. The rally consisted of 4 stages repeated 4 times with 160 kms of competative miles on the roads around the town...we had a large enthusiastic crowd on the stages and in the service area which the people had paid nothing to go and see. They could come and touch the cars, talk to the drivers, hell we even sat about a dozen kids in the car over the weekend. My point? when was the last time someone watched a crappy roundy roundy race for free and even got within 100 yards of a F1 car??
Seams a bit odd that there isnt a thread for rallying on here as its one of the most widely spectated sport in the world and I dont mean on TV....

I do agree the Motorsports categories do look odd , i assume they are part of PHs former roots.

I would have thought the two largest interests like F1 and WRC , MotoGP and WSB would have their own - i think it needs a good looking at as its all being dumped in General, i don't look at any iof the other categories, they are too specialised.

There are loads of threads, but I'm in the camp that thinks it should have it's own catagory.
It's a massive part of motorsport and has a very large grass roots following which needs to be encouraged.
