Indeed - yep good for her, as they now have to ballast so all car / driver combo's are the same. But if and when the run on a streat or proper road course and she can cut it an be on the podium there, then that will be the real tester. All this going road and road left with as much space to drive past anyone is all a bit pointless (hardly racing, i.e. braking late sticking it up the inside winner the corner and pulling away after that - that is real racing).

Dispite being in a position to win before, actually getting the first win is still significant. We all knew Jenson was capable of winning but it was still a big deal when he finaly got his first win.

He have more chancein Indy - at least they all basically have the same tyres, engines, etc - he could wait along time for Honda to come good. F1 really is about being in a top 2 team (if not just take the money and shut-up - as he is doing).

Personally I think they need to drop half the ovals now and get back to what CART / Champ car did best actually race on road course (all this going round to the left is all very well but after a few laps of watching it dull as SH&T).

I wouldn't say ovals are that bad, what made the old Indycar/CART great was that it was one third oval, one third street and one third permanent tracks. Going for all road/street is what killed Champ Car. IMO the ovals they should go to should be Homestead, Motegi, Michigan, Fontana, Indy, Phoenix and Milwaukee.

I'm hoping that the new rules for 2010 reduce the downforce on the cars, just after the split CART put in rules reducing the downforce of the cars while the then new IRL increased the downforce of the cars making ovals in the IRL a simple matter of put-your-foot-down-turn-left, unlike Nascar which requires a lot of skill and car control.

Fisher isn't good enough, her along with others are the dead weight that populated the IRL to mkake up the numbers that were lost from Champ Car. Marco Andretti has proven himself to be very quick, he's just been unlucky. Justin Wilson needs more track time like the rest of the transition teams.

I hate spoilers of all types wink

No body watches Indy car! - Christ I'd rather watch paint dry.

Oh and Justin Wilson is a damn good driver (obviously too tall!)

I understand the Sarah Fisher reference, but I'm puzzled by your thought that Wilson isn't good enough. He was 2nd in the Champ Car series last year and led the St Pete race for quite a while the other week (until a truly daft tyre choice), so I suspect he'll rise to the top of IRL in time.
