Out of date harness for sprinting?
Discussion
I was just about to part with £160 for the new version of the 6 point Sabelt harness that i have in the car currently when flicking thorugh the blue book, i couldnt find where it says the harness must be in date. I can see the point in replacing a harness every 5 years if u use it week in week out and are involved in big money FIA events. But for competing once or twice a month in a local sprinting series, its a bit OTT in my opionion. Anyway, point is, i'll get one if the scrutineers and blue book say so, but can anyone point me to the section where it actually states this?

And if you ever want to use them again :-)
to be honest i agree with the OP on this, I've just replaced the 6 point belts i n the race car as it had gone out of date. I've put it straight in the westfield for trackday use as its perfectly OK. Doubt I'd use a interia reel belt though, even though in a std road car you in theory could do so And if you ever want to use them again :-)
