How come then Lewis mentioned that his poor start in Rd3 was due to not selection the correct 'engine map' for the start!!

Driver aids have not been banned as such; traction control and electronic engine braking management have been banned. Driver selectable engine maps are permitted.

Simply banning driver aids would be difficult because how do you define a driver aid.

They have a low torque engine map for the start.

A bit sill of him to cock that up really, perhaps he was thinking about which Tag Heure to wear on the podium.
