Martin Brundle drives the Lotus 98T

Watching the GP coverage yesterday Martin Brundle is doing a feature on 6 formula one cars from over the past years.
Speaking to Patrick Morgon who runs Dawn treader performance engineering today who owns the Lotus, Martin drove all 6 cars in one day.
He didnt really make alot of comments on the car as he was filming, however Patrick did say he had a smile on his face when he got out the car. He forgot the power of the turbo car!!
The feature should be shown at Canadian GP, cant wait.

Brilliant! Would be great to see a full-on Turbo on the circuit. The last time |I saw that car, Martin Donnelly drove it at Brands and it was very pporly, almost as if the Turbo wasnt working.
Remembering the clip, there is a Lotus 49, Hunts Mclaren (M23??), The Lotus, Mansells Williams (yeah!) and a Red Bull.

Yep there is 92 Benetton for the 90's car, and a Red bull for present day.

Nigel won the WC in 1992 so If they were going to use one of his cars it would most likely be this one. He drove for williams between 86 and 88 and then 91-92. Returning for some races in 1994. As they already have the Lotus from the 80's I can't see them using one of his 80's cars too as they said they have one car from each decade.

I agree. The modern wonder that is sky+ means that I usually watch the Grand Prix an hour or so late, and use that time to skip through all the waffle and adverts. This was the first time I stopped and rewound and watched it twice. That front wheel lifting was very impressive.Marc W said:
