Norris Crashed again at Combe today?

I was at Combe, but missed it. Apparently Simon Norris wrecked his car and took Gary Prebble with him? Any details? Poor Gary

Seen the pictures. Apparantly lost it under braking and smashed into the Evo he was racing against. Both cars look a bit of a mess, especially Norris'.

Yep. Side by side going into Tower corner - quite a big off.

I was sat on Tower as this happened. Certainly the biggest accident at Tower for the past few years that I have seen.

Felt for the other driver though, he was a bit of a passenger in it all. Not nice to see the two smashed up cars.

Was certainly an eventful days racing yesterday, most of which can't be blamed on track conditions.

There had been a lot of oil dropped at Tower (and everywhere else!) in the morning, which made practise interesting, but by our race (race 4) the track was much better. Possibly it may have been slippery off line if he was off line? I'd still agree that track conditions can't be blamed as it had been a tricky track to drive all day, so should have been given some care.

Were there fisticuffs after the accident. I heard the marshalls had to separate them?

I didn't see any fisticuffs at the scene. No doubt they were angry but I suspect that story may have been embellished a little for dramatic effect!

You're right, there was a fair bit of oil dropped in the morning but the group of us watching could see how hard the top 2 guys were pushing and whilst it was a fanastic race to watch, were wondering how long it would be before one of them pushed too hard. I guess that's the nature of the beast though, you only find the limit by stepping over it.

Norris had already posted about it on MLR last night, its pretty easy to find but basically he said he had total brake failure before the corner so just threw it in but took out the other car.

Lost under braking, looks like to me, heavy car to stop etc

Having owned a few, grip is good, stopping is tricky at 1400kgs and if they let go at speed its
game over, lost mine at 140mph did a 360 but somehow caught it LOL

Total brake failure? how fast is that corner, as total loss would have been a very heavy smash

Yeah, right!

Total brake failure? You brake for tower at over 130 mph (probably 140 in those 600bhp things) He would be considerably worse off had he been doing that speed (which he would have been had his brakes failed).

He needs to pay Gary some money to repair his car and in return Mr Prebble could show him how to drive...
