Need A Good Campsite For British GP @ Silverstone

hi, im going to the british grand prix at silverstone in july. i have a 3 day ticket so i will b looking to camp somewhere nearby to camp.

does any1 have any recommendations? must be close by and have a good atmosphere

hi there we have got a 3 day ticket for silverstone and we are booked into the whittlebury golf club campsite just across the road its the nearest 1 to the circuit i think but i think you will be struggling to get booked in to be honest most places near to the circuit will be fully booked but you will find a few sites on net to try good luck

Most places don't let you book, the nice sites do, but the ones which are farmers fields next to the circuit 51 weeks of the year are first come first served.

If it's atmosphere you're after, head up the Dadford Road on Thursday night and get into Litchlake Farm which is on the right opposite the main circuit entrance or the one on the left off the bottom of the circuit beyond Club. All have temporary facilities (some even have shower blocks) but it'll be more "Glastonbury" than you might be looking for.

I have arrived on a Saturday morning and got into the one beyond club, but something tells me this year is going to be quite busy......

Whittlebury Hall is OK,walking distance to the track.
Showers & bar on site.
They could be booked up by now!

Its got to be Wittlebury Hall, great facility for all types of camping, do agree with others I booked three months ago and it was fairy full. Definatley worth a try though

Turweston Aerodrome. We stayed there yeeeaars ago. Up in the morning, land rover across the fields, no queues - result.
