Is it just me or does anyone else think the ITV4 coverage of the BTCC is far superior to the main stream ITV Teams coverage of F1.
I've only caught a few bits of the last 2 rounds but it seems much more in-depth and interesting to listen to.
Mind you I guess anything without James (THE COCK) Allen sucking off Lewis every 30 seconds is an improvement!

I notice fewer advert breaks but maybe there is less revenue to be had from ITV4 adverts and fewer people wanting to use it.

ITV motorsport coverage is in general pretty good, inc the rally that was after the BTCC.

They seriously let themselves down with their presenting teams though. James Allen is the prime example obviously, but that predator offspring bint for the touring cars annoys to the core, as does that dumb ass collegue of hers that Matt Neal made to look utterly uneducated yesterday. Oddly, the WRC buffoon is annoying me less recently, but could still be better.

Maybe I'm to much of a motorsport fanatic, but I want my programs presented and commentated by people who are truly passionate about the sport. Aside from Suzi, nearly all of these are ex-racers.

The Moto GP commentry team is perfect. F1 will be ok when Martin doesn't have to sit next to a gibbering bell end next year, and ALL pit / grid / event presenters should be replaced with people more knowledgable. Leave the handsome rent boys for the holiday program and blue peter, and get Robbie Head or Nicky Grist out to all the rallys, Tim Harvey and John Cleland for the BTCC, Leave Moto GP alone, and have Martin Brundle sit next to someone entertaining .... Eddie Irvine could be a laugh, but would unlikely be interested. Tiff could be an interesting choice, and whilst uninformative, a guest appearance of Jeremy Clarkson would be funny.

I watched the MotoGp yesterday. I hope the beeb do better with F1. The two commentators were great, but Suzi whats'ername was awful, and interminably, gushingly annoying on the grid. And there was a pretty amateurish moment at the end when no-one knew how the results had affected the championship.

Tiff's voice would get annoying for an hour and half. And I don't want to see Clarkson anywhere near the F1 coverage, let alone in the commentary box.

Totaly agree about Clarkson, I think he'll be best used on the pitwalk, even if half the grid are there because they no someone and nothing about the sport. He'd make some entertaining coments if nothing else.

No, Clarkson should be kept well away form F1. He can be very funny but I don't want a comedian, i want someone who knows what they are talking about and who can tell the facts and figures without sending the non geeks to sleep.

The Matt Neal interview was just embarrassing, surely the tiniest qualification for interviewing drivers after a race is to watch the TV feed so you know what's going on. It just gives the (undoubtably false) impression that she's got the job because she's offering something else to someone high up in the production team.

It would be possible i would have said if the money was right.

Fact is though they are chalk and cheese in trems of the style, etc. Perhaps you could have the TG team doing a pre-view of some of the pre-race features, yet to allow them near the main event would be a massive mistake.

That was very funny - you'd thought they'd have worked it out prior. However I think Cox and Parish are a good pairing and are perfect for MotoGP.
