Belgian GP 2008 help needed hotel and grandstand
Discussion
stand on the side of the circuit on the approach to les combes. great atmosphere and the cars are at full speed. dont try to pick a grandstand where there are potential overtaking opportunities, as we all know that happens in the pits.
there is a lot to be said for camping too, again, good banter with other race fans and most campsites i have seen at european gps are a damn sight better than UK facilities, good toilets, showers and there are always some bavarians with a pig on a fire...

Been to Spa twice....
1. GP - camped on local footy pitch which was a couple of minutes walk to the entrance on the hairpin, had use of hot showers in the clubhouse. Great because no driving meant a couple of beers during the day and no stress of driving in and out through the crowds. Had tickets in stand on the outside of Eau Rouge, great views, big screen visible etc but didn't see much else of track.
2. Le Mans Series 6 hour race - stayed in hotel in Liege, great town, not far away but could take ages on GP weekend with the traffic..... Had GA tickets and walked whole of circuit. Highly recommend making the effort to walk it as there are some stunning views but don't know how easy that would be with the extra GP crowds.
