Damn I look forward this one Moto gp race more than any other in the calender.
Year on year it has provided some of the most stunning racing Moto gp has ever put on.
This promises no exception, an on form Rossi, who claims the race as his own, Lorenzo getting fitter by the minute, Pedrosa spoiling the party, and maybe even Capirex to get in the mix.
Roll on Sunday.

Toseland with the new short wheelbase Yamaha that Rossi, Edwards and Lorenzo have been using to great effect to shine, he held a 2.5s lead at the top of the charts this afternoon in the wet weather before the other caught up. He still ended up 5th quickest.
Can't vote against Rossi for the win, but look out for the other Yamahas.
If Stoner can get the Ducati to go around the corners anywhere near as good as the Yamahas he'll murder them on the straight. He can be 4 bike lengths behind coming out the final corner and I think he could out drag them to the finish line.
The monkey on the Honda will probably be there too but this isn't a point and squirt circuit so his feather weight will not be that much of an advantage this weekend.

Agree with you about Tose, I think he has really been exceptional in his rookie year.

I have to agree. Poor Marco, I'm sure he just needs to flick a switch somewhere in his head and he'll be on it.
I have to say, for Lorenzo to do what he did last meeting was amazing. He showed a complete and utter lack of imagination as to the further consequences of a fall.
(My wife and I don't like him for some reason though!)
I just wish they would get rid of the traction control and let the boys REALLY show who's boss.

I dont think the Duc has all that on the straights anymore. Particularly over the Hondas. I reckon the only reason Pedrosa hasnt been finishing as well as he would have liked is fuel consumption. His bike is turing the wick down to ensure he gets home.

After quali, Rossi's looking the clear favourite it seems, but Capirossi a second quicker than his team-mate to put it on the front row was also impressive.
Considering they've had pretty much zero dry setup time though, Toseland's 8th place is pretty damn impressive for a rookie on a track that he's only done a handful of laps on, so if he has / can find a good race setup in the warmup tomorrow, fingers crossed for another top 6 finish.

He followed Rossi on his lap, probably got a nice tow to the line. It was missed on TV but Rossi signalled to Capirossi to follow him on the previous lap.Did you Stoners petulant throwing off the the gloves afterwards ?

Yup, Bradley's broken a bone in his foot evidently which is a shame, but should still ride. He's undoubtedly very talented but he needs to take a small step back IMHO as he's crashing too often to be a championship contender. I think if he knocks it back a tenth he'll still bag plenty of front row starts and podium finishes without ditching it in the gravel 2 to 3 times per weekend as he's doing at the moment.

Nope, but my opinion of him has dropped recently too. He's undoubtedly very quick and I was impressed last year how he got rid of his crasher tendancies to string together a very good championship, but he does seem to be a bit of a sulky teenager when things aren't all falling into place for him. I bet that Stoner is not the only one that gets annoyed when things don't go his way, such in qualifying when other riders get in his way. Perhaps that's why they have superpole in WSB.

Im sure its true that he didn't get as good tyres as Rossi etc, but he wasnt the only satellite team on Michelins. Although Im sure the top factory riders get access to development tyres before everyone else, I very much doubt Michelin make a whole range of gradually inferior tyres so that someone in pecking order 6 gets worse than the person in 5 and better than 7, so I can't see that he had worse tyres than people like Melandri and Elias who didn't crash anywhere near as often, so his "crasher" tag in '06 was at least partially justified IMHO. At the end of the day if the package can't go as fast as those in front of you, ride reliably at the maximum the bike can go at, there's little point in throwing it at the scenery just to double check!
Great 125 race BTW, top 5 covered by 0.2 seconds at the line! Bradley rode a really mature race, was 10th on the first lap and a couple of seconds off the back of the leading bunch but he gradually reeled them back in and picked them off. Going into the last lap he was actually leading, unfortunately it seems leading at that time is the worse place to be as everyone drafted past him into the first corner and he ended up 5th.

Yeh that was a nasty crash in the 250 race, wouldnt be suprised if Simoncelli loses that win as it was a bit of a last minute and sudden weave.
Considering catching a front brake lever has caused several big shunts in recent years (thinking primarily of the Capirossi one a couple of years ago when he got sandwiched into the first corner), I wonder if there's something they could do about it, maybe a guard on the end of the bars to prevent that happening?

Incredibly the commentators on BBCi went through, blow out, engine sieze, and did they touch?
Never even mentioned that Simoncelli may have been culpable
