crickey whats with all this moaning anyone reading this would think its been on BBC1 live for the last ten years.... so what if it doesnt go through the night, how many people will be watching at 3.30am? my guess is about <10% of those who claim they will...
for what its worth i think this is pretty bloody good coverage all things considered. i think we should be pretty grateful that its shown at all, regular TV channels couldnt give a toss (hello BBC!) and eurosport is pretty high profile. its slap in the middle of the european football championships and some tennis too...

It *may* be good coverage, we'll have to wait and see.
What we do know is that Eurosport are notoriously poor at showing programmes at their scheduled times and on the scheduled channel - recording Eurosport is a nightmare, but OH likes the beach volleyball I invariably record!!
There may be live streaming on the Eurosport website, that was great for the Moto 24 except it went down overnight and didn't come back until just before the finish. Needless to say having plugged the service during the first half of the TV coverage, they absolutely failed to mention it after it stopped working! It may well have been entirely out of their control but an explanation of sorts would have been helpful...

so is there no coverage on free to air TV? do I have to cough up for satellite?
There are ways to watch it via the internet, the Eurosport website and SpeedTV via TUV Player spring to mind.I will be there so no watching it on TV for me

MotorsTV lost the rights to Eurosport on the grounds that Eurosport is more high profile.
But the Motors TV coverage was brilliant.Getting ready for work in the morning, seeing the drivers on tv at the sign on was entertaining.
I enjoyed all the extras that Motors tv showed, it gave a really good feel for the event.

For those without Sky/Cable, have a look about half way down this thread for the post by cavebloke, as the same will apply this year.
Ive watched quite a few footie matches and the Indy 500 using feeds from there, its not broadcast quality but usually completely watchable. Using a combination of the PC and an old Xbox with XBMC installed, I can even watch it on the TV rather than the laptop screen, which is quite funky.

I've always liked motors TV coverage too.
