Race at Brands Hatch
Discussion
All in all it was a good race at Brands this weekend, whilst the grid was not massive, neither is the Indy Circuit, so it was just about right!
From my position, Britcar has always been generally 'Good Clean Racing' it was disturbing to see that there is a certain car that seem to thing it was acceptable to make contact with other cars on numerous occasions. I know that others had a similar issue with this car.
Lets hope that this was just an isolated incident and that either he learns to race with some consideration for others or he stays at home in Italy!

Having just read Steve Woods race report I'd just like to publically make the point that I didn't 'punt' out Mr. McInerney. The Eclipse Mosler had actually spun out of Druids and rolled back as I went past it down the hill, causing the wing to grab hold of my mirror and pull the outer door skin free. I'd like to apologise to the McInerney's for any damage caused, it certainly wasn't out of malice but I don't know what I would have done differently given a second chance.
An eventful day all in all and very much looking forward to Silverstone.

Sorry, Mitch, but I never wrote "punt" in my report.
My carefully-chosen words were "....allegedly after a clash with......", suitably non-descript and not apportioning any blame whatsoever, and cetainly not intending to. I am aware that you are all Britcar customers, and try my best to avoid libellous statements.

The Corvette definitely didn't tap Mike until after he'd spun. It was a simple racing incident - the Mosler is a very long car and the track isn't very wide at Druids.
If anyone is to blame it's me for trying to push the tyres 20 minutes too far. Sean was still putting the times in long after Fluxie had rooted his, but they went off badly when Mike took over.
Bugger.

And the comment about MA' COS???? anyone want to enlighten on that one?? ...........
Something to do with a certain Italian driver in an Italian car thinking it is acceptable to decide it is his corner halfway through the corner and decide to try to push me off.
His reply was that i should watch my mirrors and obey the blue flags...... wan

for some obscure reason for your team had nothing to do with the subject matter. Must be getting senile

Sorry Darren, that's my mistake mate, apologies to you and your drivers, no insults intended, and I trust after this admission of careless posting, none taken. Meant to refer to "Italian" connection as above, but it came out wrong, must have had Marcos on the brain

No worries, seemed out of the ordinary coming from you, esp given the fact that we clashed with our our own car this weekend

We were having a good battle with Henry and co, yet another buggerit race where great racing has yielded no result. The Mosler got a result for the team, 1st and 4th overall a pretty good team result
Let's see what Silverstone brings to us!
Cheers
Darren
