does anybody else think alonso should just shut up and get on with it? every week there seems to be speculation about him moving.

yes he has a clause in his contract that would let him go at the end of the year but i cant see anywhere for him to go. He failed miserably at mclaren and still spends time moaning about hamilton- his latest comment implied that hamilton was "lucky" last season. Ferrari would surely be mad to consider chopping either of their drivers and kubica seems to be doing a sterling job with his team and, should he go onto prove himself further this season, would have no problem being their number one driver next year.

in contrast, yes alonso is fast, but the hard facts are that by the time next season arrives he will have spend a couple of years not at the top- will someone with potential rather than actual recent races wins under his belt actually count for anything?

personally i think he should stay put and get on with some racing

i lost a lot of respect for alonso after he threw his toys out of his pram last year over getting out qualified by his less experienced team mate,he thought he was the no 1 boy but it was`nt to be.to try and blackmail your boss into giving you no 1 status was a bit dire. i dont take anything away from him regarding his driving and i would love to see him in a more competitive car.ps i doubt he gives a st weather i respect him or not. laugh

I'm sure if it was up to Alonso he wouldn't say anything about his future prospects and options, but, being F1, he is no doubt asked the same questions at every race weekend, test session and pretty much every press conference or interview in between. So its no wonder its being covered a lot in the press and as a two times world champ, its inevitable.

Personally I think he should take the plunge and go to Honda. An Alonso Brawn and Button combo is a good one and Honda will likely start crawling up the grid with the introduction of KERS. Imo Renault are on the slide and BMW won't be any better an environment for him than McLaren was. Somehow I'd be suprised if he goes to Ferrari.

He could always go to NASCAR.

That'd put the cat among the pigeons!
