May we thank you for your support in the first phase of protecting Curborough Sprint Course from development into a 5000 dwelling town.

We are now into Phase 2 and need your help again, this time to petition the Government to have Curborough removed form the Eco Town shortlist.

Please post details on any other forums who may have an interest, as we are after large numbers but please do so before June 30th!!!

Full details can be found at our website set up purely for this campaign:

http://www.curborough.com

Many thanks in anticipation

Ditto - went down again last month - small, relaxed low level club event but plenty of exciting, very fast (an uber Caterham that did 115 mph over the line! an OMS sports-racer style special + new BMW M3 amongst others) cars and some excellent (and OTT driving!)

I have fond memories of the days when people like John Gray were punting their F1 engined single seaters through it; the noise and the spectacle . Brilliant!

For anyone who hasn't been, it is such a great spectator venue/ event for an afternoon out.

Having driven the track, others might be surprised just how tricky it is - twisty, difficult cambers - even a virtually blind fast rising left, narrow, slippery and yet in places plenty fast enough.

Fantastic place, 'hope to God it's saved.

I've linked the petition address over to Blatchat as many Sevenners have fond memories of the place. The Seven Club hold two sprint events there each year and they are always good fun.

Signed. The Scimitar and Sabre owners club hold their main annual meeting at Curborough. It would be a shame to have to move it.
