Its a shame.
To be an F1 driver takes loads of money , lots of connections and years of practice but any old boot can become a grid girl/mascot.

shocking .

I can't wait for motor racing to lose this fascination for bimbos it really has gone beyond its time.

Its an embarrasment. I can barely go to the Autosport show without being totally embarassed for the girls handing out goodies or trying to encourage punters to some stand they have no idea what the product is.
All camel toes and stretched lycra.

Just something that actually makes me avoid some of the more overpopulated stands.

Go to a BTCC round and rather than handing out gifts these days they are only trawling for email addresses to add to the already high spam levels on the internet.

Are you a Homo Sexual? It needed to be said, if this is an old boot then you must be going out, if not a male, an absolute stunner, i would marry the above forementioned female at the quickest instant even if she had a phat 0 in the intelligance department, think of the hours of fun. I am shallow, yes, keep the trophy female for whatever, if you need some intelligent chat thats what your mates are for down the pub. Get a grip

She does nothing for me, either. And why didn't they airbrush out the spots under her belly button? Yuk.

Click the link below the picture.

Anyone who says the first pic is Sh#t or she's ugly must have some of the best chat up lines in existance of man, and is living with a female who had better have won at least six Miss Worlds.

Nope not homosexual and nothing against Gemma personally just thw whole you like fast cars ergo you like visiting mingefests.

Sorry I just prefer to pay my attention to the drivers and cars.

Its not as if the girls are intrinsic to the race scene they are just transient bussed in and bussed out again by varying promotions companies/model agencies.

Some are very attractive without a doubt but does 'The FACE' of F1 really need to sit on an F1 car as a phallus or have a race suit unzipped so far you can see where here bikini line was waxed.

I agree with Mark on his point about motorsport doesn't need fit girls to be attractive.

That kind of thing should be left to the max power types who need to get pre pubescent teens in off the street. If you want to stare at women buy a jazz mag or go to a strip club. It sickens me to watch sad old pervy men taking close up pictures of girls on stands at car shows, they are usually teenagers and have no idea what the cars they are promoting are.

It strikes me that the men who get excited are fat, wear glasses and think the internet is real life updated.

and yes I am fat, I used to wear glasses, but I go out an awful lot and have never taken a photo of a girl I didn't know for the purpose of staring at when my mum lets me use the PC

Thankgawd for that, a man with a level head! As a girl who loves motorsport it gets right up my nosewhen they wheel out rent-a-bint to show some flesh. I actually think this girl is very pretty but completely unnecessary. What is worse is the wannabes who aren't very attractive who try too hard to get noticed (thinking of two girls at the pistonheads show doing lezzer things to get noticed - I very nearly asked them to move out of the way so I could take a photo of the car!!) Have some self respect girls - if you want to get noticed on a track, learn to drive!

So you take pervy pics of girls you do know then, for staring at?wink

The temptation to simply walk through the the shots these particular sweaty gentlemen take is mind boggling. "Sorry mate just trying to get a look at the motor!"

Mark69 is clearly GAY - But like some others say "SHE IS NOT ALL THAT", mind at least the Fat Wort Hog from the Surrey Area heats did not win the overall Miss UK (No Miss UK IS DATED - the really good lookers do not even look at it).

Sex sells, young blokes as well as other watch F1. Young single blokes with a few quid are liklely to buy merchandise, watches advertised by F1 drivers, mobile phones as there vodafone etc. They want to be in the same "club" as the F1 drivers by having the same bits and bobs as them. Tiger Woods, the tennis lad Fedderer and T.Henry advetise Gillette this is a product aimed at the bloke who wants to use the same stuff and the three above, so he can tell his mates down the pub.
The majority of F1 viewers are male around 66.8%:

http://www.immage-2000.co.uk/it156/html/impact_of_...

Now out of these males if you asked them if they would like to see a nice looking female the majority would probably say yes.

Catering for the masses, making money, selling a product to the majority.

I hate MPV's but they cater for a particular part of the market, if you want a multi prupose vehicle then you get one, if you want a two seater sports car then you get a two seater sports car.

If you dont like girls and there association with F1 no one is forcing you to watch it.

Name another mainstream sport that uses gratuitous flesh?

Do programme sellers at football wear camel toe inducing lycra?
Do golf clubs get paraded by belly rings in the clubhouse?
Do cricket matches have more nipples poking through than googlies?

I am seriously not gay and actually really like the attention of good looking girls.

However I find their presence unecessary and intimidating and rather than encourage me to view things they make me shy off.

Maybe I even resent the fact that they make me look and I feel guilty , who knows?

All I do know is that motor racing is the last bastion of sexual exploitation.
Its also extremely ageist and possibly racist.

When I was younger my mates and I used to fnarr fnarr at the grid girls now we all just feel they should get a room.

Going to a motor race shouldn't make you feel like you have stumbled into the set of big brother.

lol.. I do understand what you are saying , I just feel the girls are kind of exploited..and that it belongs to a different era.

No I'm not gay , or a fat porker and I have never been a feminist and I like pretty girls or should I say women now at my age.
