That's funny, and you can hardly blame him.

Anyone else think that ITV's comments on Massa' driving was were a bit generous? They appeared to suggest his throttle map hadn't been softened for the wet.

Or perhaps Brazilian rain isn't as slippery as Northamptonshires?

I read that he just sai he was useless at being overtaken, not useless as a driver. Sort of "Now you know what it feels like, use your mirrors more..." sort of comment

In fairness to Massa, if you listen to the engine his car was spinning with almost zero throttle input, something about that car wasn't quite right and I dont mean the driver

I was listening to Anthony on BBC Five Live commentary on the Qualifying on Saturday. When Heidfield made a huge sideways mistake on Luffield and then still went on to be 4th fastest, Ant laughed and claimed that it was very frustrating and unfair that someone can do a scruffy lap like that and still be 4th fastest! ha ha.

Bizzarely enough several of us predicted Massa would fall off in the British GP thread....

If a selection of mere fans can see what's coming then maybe Davidson has a point.

Ant is a great guy. Very intuitive and very quick. Just doesn't get the breaks with the best cars - was fantastic at Honda as a test driver, in the days when Honda were a good package. Watching Massa in the Ferrari yesterday must be gutting for him.

Currently joint leader of the WDC where as you do not even have a drive and even when you had a drive you fail to score even one solitary point in 2007 or 2008, in fact you have not even had a top ten finish. Enough said..... End of.

although all the stories mentioned massa spinning all over the shop, davidson's comments about him being useless and rubbsih at it were all to do with getting out the way of the blue flags rather than just being crap in the wet...

Exactly, I use Crash.net a lot as its been a good single website to catch up on both car and bike sport, but lately some of their sensationalist headlining has started to wear rather thin. Its almost Sunday Sport-esque sometimes, and what is worse they allow unregistered readers to comment on the articles so rather than the comments section being an outlet for half reasonable discussion, virtually every one turns into fanboy rants and slanging matches by (supposedly) the same few people.

A bit harsh me thinks, I recall in the dry qualifying on Saturday Ferrari were busy dialling out the power oversteer the cars seem to have, hence they were surprisingly off the pace, particularly Massa's car. Consider this, perhaps they didn't quite manage it and the wet amplified the problem :scratchchin.

Very... Especially as throttle maps are adjustable via a potentiometer on the steering wheel!

Well if there where no faults with the car then massa drive was just bloody embarrassing, it looked like his first drive in the wet in an F1 car. I would have loved to listen to the pet radio, "Massa WTF are you doing, you are supposed to be a professional F1 racing driver, pull into the pits and see if the monkey can do any better then your useless ass, Max is out of his gimp box now and ready to go".

AD hopes to get back in with these guys so probably needs to think about what he says a bit more than a Brundle (or Hunt in his day)
