Brake cleaner works perfectly well and will not remove paint. It also takes chewing gum out of carpets/clothes - useful to know....
I agree .... clutch/brake cleaner is the thing to use.I must try it on chewing gum, I've been recomended to freeze the gum with an ice bag and break the gum out when frozen.

Brake cleaner is fabulous stuff - it removes chewing gum without a trace by dissolving it. It also removes pink Play Doh from duaghter's favourite white suede trainers.... and its pretty good on biro....
... and it smells nice. I use gunk to get tyre marks off the side of my car post race. WD40 does work well though. Xylene will take it clean off, assuming you have a decent lacquer on your top coat, the paint will be fine.Forums | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
