What class is it in & how has JT got a data logger to record the Olympus output? Interesting to know what the power to weight ratio is & I am not sure that air to air refuelling is in the spirit of 24 hour racing.

Getting round "Bridge" will also be interesting with that turning circle.

I hope that when it makes its bombing run on the Mosler pits it doesn't miss like it did the whole damn runway at Port Stanley in 1982!

I also hear that there will be static displays of tanks and helicopters for people to climb about on. A fairground with dodgems etc.

I also hear that there will be WiFi available to all, that the race coverage will be beamed absolutely 100% live through the Britcar website with live timings and a choice of camera views to watch from.

Will post up more as I find out.

They may not mention it as I understand that they are doing another event that day and will be diverting via Silverstone on the way back for a flyby. As opposed to a dedicated flight there if you follow.

Planes, tanks, fairgrounds, concerts, juggling Rhinoseros` and food from the far side of the globe are all well and good but for a 24 hour race the real crowd puller is going to be on site camping and communication as to how the race is unfolding. Unless you have access to a timing screen you haven`t a clue.

I suspect the live streaming with selctable inputs is too big a mouthfull for Britcar to bite off (but I`d love to be proved wrong because it would be up there with F1`s kangaroo TV). WiFi transmision of the live timing screens would mean anyone with a laptop or iphone would be sorted. The other thing that needs to be done is to ensure the excellent commentary is radio broadcast and single frequency earpieces are available at the circuit. That is easily achievable and does not require any technological input on the part of the spectator.

If the camping is in place (at the circuit not miles away) then we need to be contacting car clubs on forums like this to encourage Le Mans style club camping with tents next to their cars and a real petrolhead atmosphere.

See the camping thread Henry. It's onsite behind the grandstands that face the pits so a quick hop over the bridge to the infield.

I've got the showers booked and as soon as I've surveyed the site on Saturday the 19th I'll be getting the toilets sorted and I'll know how many pitches there are up for grabs. TVRCC are already on board. Anyone else involved with other clubs please talk to them and get in touch with me. I'd be delighted to put group areas together for camping.

It doesn't have any confirmed flights or displays after this weekend. Although this could change sponsors/donations depending.

The S02Displays The Blue Eagles, who fly helecopters, with their display team.

CPT'S YAK 52 the aerobatic team, with Mark Jefferies the current UK Aerobatic Champion will be frying as well.
