Pi and motech software

Has anyone got any learning packages of the Pi or motech system,Dealt with Pi system 1 and c dash in the past but want to learn some more on how to analysis what inputs the driver is making and what outputs occur etc.

Pretty pricey but ive heard this book is pretty good.

Kinda in the same boat, learning the software is the easy bit but interpreting the data is where it gets tricky!
