BTCC Commentary Dig??

After the relaying of part of Oulton Park, did I have the commentator remark that "Martin Brundles's mates" had fixed it????

Yep. They relayed some tarmac on the circuit overnight. Was a reference to Brundle's infamous pikey comment to Bernie in Montreal.

the commentators are useless, my girlfriend and i laugh as they get names, teams etc constantly wrong.

The commentary was pants at Oulton but certain points did make me giggle, Also announcing quite loudly that Daemon Hill was sat on the grass near the Start/Finish I'm sure didn't go down well as I certainly spotted a few people moving that way.

He certainly comes across like a complete tt whenever I see him on TV.

Hopefully Alan Jones will get his seat next year. Very impressed by him, always in the mix in the midfield.

I'll bet his sponsors are happy bunnies as well. They are getting a lot of airtime where he's putting that car.

I don't think he'll get anywhere, he's missed loads of oppertunitys to punt cars off and he doesn't do it. Plato, on the other hand, was ramming back markers like a true professional. He wasn't even racing for points.

Strangely thats what I like about him most. The ability to drive up the inside/side by side with other cars and passing them without punting them off. Radical approach in the BTCC I know!

Speaking of punting other drivers off....has anyone else noticed that Turkington seems to do quite a lot of that? I don't mean like the Chilton incident at Oulton Park....Turks seems to use a more subtle and yet apparently deliberate little nudge whenever he is overtaking someone. He appears to do it a lot and yet it never gets a mention by the commentators. It can't be that they don't notice...my whole family sit there shouting 'Dirty Turky' at the screen whenever he tries it!

My personal favourite is when the commentator refers to "another classic Matt Neal move" as one of his competitors finds a Vectra stuffed up the inside, either tweaking him wide or simply run off the track.

To be fair they are all at it though.
