Lot 321 (the SA06 Formula One Car) and Lots 847 onwards will remain in the auction which concludes on Thursday 31 July 2008 and 1 August 2008 respectively.

basically leaves a load of SA clothing and a few pictures. and a car.

I'm pleased for Aguri as a lot of those items for sale were already fetching well over the odds prices. The buyers have basically taken a punt on getting the parts they need, such as the autoclaves and will be selling off most of the kit at a later date once they have worked out what is worthwhile for them to keep, i would have done the same given the spare capital.

People were bidding silly money on some things, like a 2 year old plasma TV for more money than you can buy a current model brand new! Laptops for a lot more than you can pick them up from Ebay for.

I think my computer was having trouble with the site- everything was shown as ending at midnight tomorrow and still on £0 or £3 when i could see stuff-excpet the car which was £210.....tempting. Good for Aguri (or his creditors) anyway.

All the laptops are now not part of the sale, the auction is suspended at the moment and when it returns you'll just have access to the F1 car and clothes.

Someone had bid stupid money on those. Makes you wonder if someone was bidding up the prices, or there really are a lot of stupid people out there.

This often happens in these situations. When the Millenium Dome (O2 Arena as it is now) shut up shop originally there was an auction of all the audio visual equipment, props, costumes etc. from the show up for auction.

We went down there to size up what was worth having and there were quite a few nice lots I wanted if the price had been right.
Just before the on-line auction began, pretty much all of the AV kit was withdrawn as one company did deal and bought it all up.

I had my eye on a really nice mirror ball as well. Damn.
