Craig Jones RIP

Horrific crash at Brands yesterday, did not survive!
Went down very hard on his head, then the bike behind hit him again.

I was at the race and saw this crash, me along with all the other spectators nearly puked up, it was brutal to say the least, the bikes were going very fast at this point of the circuit, most rear ends were squirming like hell under full power while turning, looks like he just lost it all by himself..... poor lad didnt stand a chance.....full credit to the marshalls who red flagged the race in an instant.

I was hoping to read news today that he had pulled through, but something wasnt right as he was in the medical centre for quite a while before the chopper took him to hospital........my condolences to his family and friends.

Oh god, that's really not nice to watch.

It's almost shocking he wasn't also run over by one of the other bikes that went past

my missus nephew is an upcoming bike racer who is likely to make it to BSB or higher in the next couple of years. i fear for his safety at times.

Thats a Haymarket thing, we have no input or editing or anything with home pages news but I will drop them a message.

We (all of us that race) all know the risks, but when things like this happen, it really brings it home to you...

I have so far seen two people killed in front of me over the years, it does not happen often thank god, but there is always the risk...

Very sad news this. I'm pleased to say that the race over-ran so sky stopped recording before the crash.

I'm not gloryfying the crash, by posting the link. But it shows the dangers of motosport, and how much these guys put their lives on the line, to entertain us.

no one was saying you were gloryfying it but the family and many many freinds will no doubt be looking at many sites and reading the messages and the last thing they want is links showing craigs untimely and horrific end.

once again, rip mate, have a beer with ollie b and the boys up there will you, i can assure you that you will be very sorely missed...
