Is this the same as race scrutineering, i.e. if I pass the testing will I pass for racing.

Also will I need to have numbers on the car, as I've not got the backing circles yet.

Thanks
Leigh

The scrutineering on Sunday (Brands) is for the race - if you pass youre ok to race.

JR should be able to bring you your roundals or post them to you. You need three sets of numbers (9" are better than the 11")

I've booked the testing on friday, just wondered if I'll need the numbers for that.
IF so will ask JR to post me the backing's. if not will collect some from him on sunday.

wanted to know, if the Testday scrutes are the same as race day scrutes

Thanks
Leigh

You won't need your race number on your car for testing and there is no scrutineering at test days. The only thing they are concerned about is that you have paid your money!!!!!!

Ok thank you thought, they was a bit stricter on TEST days than on TRACK day.
Also thought you needed a race licence.

On a test day you need a licence to sign on and to have paid your money. You'll then get a wristband and/or a sticker for the car. The only test you might have on the car is a noise test. Won't help you a jot as regards race scrutineering I'm afraid.

Thank you.

I have a cunning plan for the noise reg's if I fail, I should be ok, as I have 400SE center box and an extra track silencer in the end also.

One last stupid question, I think the answer will be yes but, if the race car is not ready, can I use my road car. be a shame to waste my money.

I may be wrong but I don't think you'll get on, or stay on for long, in a car that doesn't look fit for purpose in terms of basic safety and/or pace. I may be wrong?

Taking another view though, this is a test day and it won't be just us, it will be a mix of classes assocaited with GT type racing and it is to test, so people fly and undertake and overtake where they can. It isn't as cut and thrust as racing but it is quick and it isn't run on track day rules it is a free for all.

I personally wouldn't go out at testing without a cage and all the race required safety equipment and brands always seems to get a fair share of Radicals and Junos etc so we won't be the quickest there.

I know this sounds a bit negative but you have to be safe!

Cheers

I think you'll find that all circuits for TEST sessions stipulate that the cars going out onto the track must be MSA approvable for racing purposes, ie, capable of passing a race scrutineer even though they are not actually scrutineered for the test itself. Check out the MSV Terms and Conditions, I expect that'll make it clear. Good luck. Cheers,
Steve
