Even LH think F1 is a Dull none Overtaking Joke.....

It is so laughable the amount of overtaking, that in my opionion that could do worse than just get rid of F1 altogether.
Rebrand the New Ferrari World Championship thing (the one with countries on the cars! - Daft), as F1.
I gave up watching F1 live a few years back - God it is CRAP. Any over taking is either based around pit stops or related to drastically differnt fuel levels. 3 Sprints in one has not works. F1 should be all fuelled up and no interruptions from piting (Christ this is about the best drivers in the world not some team bods in the pits - it is NOT a team Sport). Last bit is a windup for the people that take this far to seriously.
But Christ it is DULL. Zero overtaking at most tracks (Spa might be better) just mean why waste time watching it. Bernie will be worried some what by LH saying this but knows he is right.

Have to agree - and one set of tyres that have to last the whole race weekend (excepting punctures) so and a driver can actually take a different line to overtake without hitting the marbles and loosing all grip.//j17 said:

get the them all in Over power GP2 cars then you would see the best drivers doing there thing.
All this Team stuff is UTTER b
ks - we watch this to see goo racing, not who has made the next jump in Aero or such cobblers.

Do we have to listen to the ramblings of a half-witted fool, it's just so predictable. Not like the threads of 20 years ago. Or the threads from other motorsport regulars. Even Lewis has mentioned that they should get rid of him altogether.

Co you just love F1 as it is - Burk.Edited by kevin ritson on Thursday 4th September 09:51
If you gave up watching years ago, how do you know whats it's like? I don't want an F1 that makes it easy to overtake, i want to see them having to work at it, there is nothing more dull than knowing you will have 20 overtakes like they had in champ car with the high drag wing. Oh look, fred past jonny again, lets wait a minute and jonny will pass fred, that's predictable and boring.

Will be interesting to see if this attempt to lobby the Green help with all the KER Crap. But come up we need more overtakes - not BTCC levels. As GBRM says removing all the add one aero crap might help.
But come on Valecia was Dull as s
t.I what it on recording digi box;) so I can fwd to the good bits (i.e. the start!) and the end and any crashes.
I think it says it all that come the end of the race weekend, the talking points are whether so and so's special winglet fluffle valve was half a niffy graff to big or if doo da's pit stop strategy was compromised by an over indulgence on buck wheat the week before, rather than the racing......I want to see 20 blokes in cars, racing.......but unfortunatley the racing bit of F1 has become an inconvenience for 2 hours every fortnight.........
It has been a much better season for overtaking, the problem being the last race was really dull. I do think it would be nice if overtaking were more possible, but I agree with those who say it should still be difficult and they should have to really work for it. The worry is they bring in all these stupid rules that make things more complicated, rather than improving the on-track action.

It was a dull race - mainly because it took place on a circuit that was poorly designed - even the GP2 races were forgettable aside from a couple of cars running out of fuel at the end.
t.But...you're forgetting Hockenheim, Silverstone, Canada, Monaco and Melbourne for starters - they were all entertaining races and this season is turning out to be a classic. Only you wouldn't know as apparently you switched off years ago, even though you seem to have accidentally watched the race in Spain a fortnight ago

Get reall it is turning into a close season between 4 blokes as far as points on paper - they are never knocking spots / swapping paint with each other. One will be miles ahead for a few race then and another with the latest sad aero bloody tweek.
Do you actually watch BTCC, MotoGP, GP2, F3(good this year), WSB, BSB, V8Supercars, Nascar - that actuall have something called over taking, not following within a second and can do bugger all about it!

BTCC does not have overtaking! Swapping paint is fine if you have bodywork protecting your wheels. You seem to be attacking F1 for the sake of it. Plenty of people have found this season very exciting with lots of overtaking. Much more skilled than slamming your BTCC chav winged hatchback into the man in front. In my opinion

When was the last time you saw F1 drivers 'knocking spots / swapping paint' with one another? Generally when that happens (Adelaide '94, Jerez '97 spring to mind) the incidents have not ended well. These guys are out to win, not crash into one another. This isn't the BTCC - the consequences of bashing into another driver at 200mph in an F1 car are a little more serious than the Gran Turismo-style overtaking manoeuvres you can see from the likes of Neil, Chilton et al.Yes, there's been precious little overtaking for the lead this year, but for the most part that's been the case for decades. However, don't forget that Hamilton gave us a great display of overtaking in Germany a few weeks ago (even if Massa did yield a bit too easily).
That said, I don't disagree with your point about fuelling for the entire race.

Yes I watch the BTCC and rather enjoy it. But it's not purist racing and amusingly after each race there's a thread on here moaning about driving standards...Do you actually watch BTCC, MotoGP, GP2, F3(good this year), WSB, BSB, V8Supercars, Nascar - that actuall have something called over taking, not following within a second and can do bugger all about it!
MotoGP? Seen a few but find it as dull as ditchwater I'm afraid.
WSB? Similar to the above but bike racing does little for me - believe me I've watched a few and tired my best.
V8Supercars and NASCAR are a bit...well, the latter is particularly low rent. Every race look like the last and is full of whooping and hollaring - I fail to see the appeal. Overtaking in NASCAR means little anyway as it's just swapping places for 200 laps then anything of consequence happens at the final corner - where's the skill in that?

I suspect there's quite a lot of skill involved in driving cars around a banked circuit three inches from your competitors at 200mph+, and NASCAR is even more tactical than F1. Having said that, I also fail to see the appeal.MrKipling43 said:
