24 Hour race again clashing in 2009

As James is now posting here I'm hoping he can answer this. Looking at the calendars for 2009, the 24 hour race is again going to clash with the BTCC (Rockingham round). I understand that it isn't a direct competitor, but surely clashing with one of the biggest motorsport series in the country isn't the best way to attract spectators to the race? I know of lots of people who I speak to at BTCC races who would love to attend the Britcar 24 since they heard about it on Topgear but who also want to attend the BTCC and it seems the BTCC is the race that is getting their attendance in the end.
There is also the issue of losing a lot of potential competitiors, both teams and drivers with several of the BTCC paddock racing in the past including the series boss! I know of several teams that run in the BTCC support races who have said they'd like to do the 24.
Is it too late to alter the calendars for 2009 so we don't have this clashing of dates again? It's surely in the interest of the race to have the maximum possible number of spectators who have the opportunity to attend as possible?

Its like September 6th so the calendar is'nt worth the paper its written on yet!! Both dates COULD change.
As it happens, we have a driver in our car who is racing in a BTCC support at Brands the same weekend as racing with us in the Britcar at Silverstone, so it can be done, if the drivers want it and more realistically actually have any wonga spare back up the talk.
Since Rockingham is a smidge over an hour up the road from Silverstone in a car its more feasible than ever. So if there has to be a clash thats the one to have!!

Would it be worse if the 24Hours clashed with BTCC or British GT??
Personally I think the latter would be worse as you'd potentially lose spectators, drivers and cars. Sundays are the important day for BTCC so there's nothing to stop a spectator from coming to the 24 on the Saturday which is the more important day IMO.
