Stupid idiot silverstone parking attendants had the traffic backed up half way to the motorway until some genius decided to open another parking field and the who lot cleared up in a few minutes. Not before keeping us waiting for an hour in traffic - sometimes i think they do it on purpose.

Really excellent day, great racing (although no idea who won!! ) great atmosphere and the sound of the Murcy Lager oh and the flames The Astons sounded awesome too.

Also got stuck in that queue Tom, worth the wait in the end though. Didn't realise how sunny it was until I got home to be told by Mrs MoJo that I looked like a panda

The Lambo reminded me of the BRM V16 from the "Into the red" soundtrack - it really was awesome.

A great day was had and I'll get some piccies up later this week.

Seconded. Shirley they were aware that Peugeot had given away thousands of tickets and that lots of 1st timers would appear? From the West, the A43 was backed up 2 or 3 miles, and of course lots of folks couldn't resist a last minute shove into the head of the long line of patient poeple queuing in the left hand lane. And no sign of any traffic control until we reach the car park.

Of course, 30 seconds research by me would have revealed that Radio Le Mans were broadcasting commentary, and that I should have taken a radio. As it was, only the position lights on the cars, the occaisional snatch of commentary above the sounds of engine, or glimpse at the 2 big screens told me what was happening.

Great days racing, more action in the first 10 laps tha in a whole grand prix. Shame about the traffic and as for the commentary I did know about the broadcast and carefully found my radio on Saturday evening and replaced the batteries before leaving it on the dining room table on Sunday. Those position lights on the cars are a great idea though.

Its the first time I've seen them; an excellent development. Different LEDs for each class and easy to pick out on slower corners.

Unless they're blue on a blue car ,like the Porsche spyder....

I noticed the 07 R10 on display had them too but I'd not noticed them before.

The three lights have been around a while now. I'm sure I remember them on the R8 at Le Mans a couple of years ago.

Great day made sweeter by freebie tickets and good weather.

The LMP1 race was fantastic culminating in the Pug and Audi spinning off at Copse right in front of us. I was willing the Pescarolo to stay ahead of the fast charging Audi in the last half an hour too.

Were you in the group who looked like they had bought half of M&S with them on a proper picnic blanket? If so, top work. We made do with ham sarnies and pork pies on the hoof!

That was us - I was well fed! You should have asked for some - we had loads left (Waitrose though, not M&S)

I was damned if I was going to pay £5.50 for a bacon roll!

Was a great race, really enjoyed it and hopefully the peugeot free tickets gave a lot of new people their first taste of endurance racing.

Thank you peugeot for the free tickets, hats, flags etc etc. I know you didnt do well, but we appreciated the effort.

As for entering/leaving, I arrived at 8h45, and drove staright in (coming from the M1). Ditto when I left, after the podiums and before the start of the second race.

was heartened by the pace of the lola- Aston martin. With quicker drivers, it could be a regular podium visitor.

I hope that was tongue in cheek. Mucke is a fabulous driver and young Charouz isn't exactly a slouch either.
