That Ferrari is all over the place when it starts raining, big up to Kimi for keeping it going that long! I really think he had little choice in the chicane, the car was dictating where it was going and LH had to dive left or neither would have finished.
Great couple of laps and awe inspiring driving by both of them, shame it will be remembered for the farce that followed rather than the skill showed on the vid.

Wow, that is awesome. Amazing how hard raikkonen is pressing to stay in contention and I am astonished at both drivers ability to anticipate what is about to happen even as the merest telltale signs emerge.
Question, Raikkonen presses a button on his steering wheel and immediately half-spins into the wall. What would that button have been for? Torque map selector or something like that?
F1 needs more rain. I wonder if on the bright side of global warming, we may get more freak weather and entertaining races as a result.

That's the "Transmit to FIA button" it sends a coded message direct to FIA headquarters at Maranello saying, this race isn't going my way, initiate recovery procedure"profstoff said:

Fabulous footage though, isn't it. When the BMW sudenly appeared in front of the cars. Kimi must have thought: So that's what the waved yellow was for.
The difference between the amount of input LH and Kimi were putting into steering was incredible. You've got to hand it ot the pair of them. It makes all the boring races we have to put up with worth it - with the possible exception of Valencia. Tremendous skills and committment.

Yep, both very good but it does highlight that Lewis made a big effort to get back on the track and Kimi just driving around the outside of the corner at pace.
The Bus Stop chicane - jeez, it all happens so quickly when he comes out of the slip stream in to the chicane.
If he had stayed behind Kimi through there, I still think he would have been close enough to overtake when he did anyway - he was going that much faster than Kimi at that point

ts (stewards) need to be taken out and shot for interferioring with a great race (well last few laps), when F1 needs great racing not great off track cock ups.
