It's refreshing when you hear a driver speaking his mind rather than the obligatory "for sure the team is strategic for sure... yawn". He has a lot of respect for his competitors but at the same time he knows that he has to play a few mind games to make them feel on the back foot.
He wants Kimi to hear that, in the hope that Kimi might momentarily hesitate on approaching the next wet corner. It's all part of the fun, and he seems to enjoy doing it.
