What should replace the Seat Cupra cup ?

I reckon its should be a 'BTCC Masters' type thing. All the legendary cars ( Split into the differnet eras) with all the great drivers. I know it wouldnt happen but there is no harm in dreaming.
On a serious note, what sould replcae it?
I reckon Caterhams or the Lotus Elise On Track. Both produce fantastic races and action. Certainly brighten things up a bit!!

As an off the wall suggestion, how about something like the "Speedcar" series that supported a few Grand Prix at the end of last year. Run it by a central team a la Palmer Audi to keep a level playing field & it'd probably be cheaper to do than some series. Get a few "names" in like Andy Rouse, John Cleland, Tim Harvey etc, along with a few youngsters trying to prove themselves and you could have a real crowd pleaser. What shall we call it...how about V8 ThunderSaloons.

The Heritage GTs is already supporting several BTCC rounds and has cars and drivers of the past BRSCC/BTCC.mattsayle said:

i hate "masters" events, the drivers have had they fun, let someone else out there, i say Ginetta Juniors or SaxMax, no point complaining about a lack of UK driver talent if we dont give them a platform to shine...On a serious note, what sould replcae it?

a caterham "junior series" would be awesome, chuck a load of 14-16 year olds in a 1.4 roadsport and let havoc commence. cant believe caterham arent already doing it, they have classes to cater for everyone else...

Good idea that. I like the way Knockhill put the Legends on with the BTCC as the Clio Cup and Formula Snooze don't go there....The only thing is the Legends races end up being better than the Touring Cars
