Drivers Mtg - Oulton

Hi all I spoke to John today, and he's no problem with a drivers mtg at Oulton, so whats the preference. Something at the circuit or later on at the hotel.

I you've got any issues you'd like to raise or suggestions mail them to

I would have voted for at the hotel before the doo but what if your not going to the doo? so I think it must be held after our races. John, Co/ Mick G Star

I would suggest before the do, but i know that not everyone is attending.

i supose a room at the circuit might work, just after the race

I'm totally aware of this, plus I very much doubt he's going to change his mind anyway.

Is the meeting going to follow some kind of agenda or is it going to be a case of talk about anything and everything in no particular order. I think if we get a list of key points going it'll save a little time and stop us going off at tangents.

As I said its not down to me, but from the discussions I've had I think the main points will be


1) V8's in class C
2) aero and max tyre width in B
3) What we can do to promote the series


I think John is also reducing the number of meetings by one ( to 6 all double headers) and restricting it to the bigger circuits.. which does make a difference to the time required by all us part time teams..

silverstone
Brands hatch
Snetterton
Oulton
etc

apparently Angelsey,Cadwell and Pembrey are to far for people to go??? croft is a barc circuit so brscc wont go ( so I suppose thats mallory and Thruxton out too) and Donny is way too expensive...Knockhill is a cracking circuit but again too far for most..

so its probably worth talking about which circuits we will all go to..

personally I like cadwell and thought angelsey was brilliant. both much better than the crappy national circuit at sillystone..

Would be a shame not to go back to Anglesey!! Shame to miss out on Cadwell aswell.

I did not think Cadwell was too far out.

Also don't think we can do castle combe due to the noise regs

coombe is 105 on race day and tuscans do run there... GT's and F3 are louder hence being booted out.

a bigger problem with coombe is testing

combe would be handy and theres a nice TVR following down in this neck of the woods as well.

personally, I loved anglesey and would have no problems going back there. Yes its far, but a great circuit.

having said that, if the weather had been miserable I might have viewed it differently.
