Who was driving the Golf?

Had a very good at Silverstone today supporting Owen and the rest of the team.
Spotted a few PHers around including a guy in a blue Spank it t-shirt walking around with a tray of dinner.
Just wondered who was driving the yellow Golf with the PH sticker on the boot?
I've got a couple of pictures that i'll post up tomorrow, we on the otherside of the track so hadn't realised quite how bad the tvr incident was! Yikes!
Next year we'll be camping out and staying over night as it was difficult to tear ourselves away

Andy Hack (or Barney Rubble as he's more commonly known) was driving the above pictured Golf - he's current Mini Miglia champion but I'm pretty sure he's not a PHer.
That's Tim Stanbridge's helmet in the photo, though. What time was the photo taken??I think it was him that went straight on at Abbey 2 at about 9.00pm ish? He told me he was trying to avoid hitting a rabbit!

The Golf was driven by myself Andy Hack , Team owner Dan Wheeler of Dread fame , Tim "Ricqochet" Stanbridge and Nick "Rebound"Swift.
The whole thing was great fun apart from having our motorhomes robbed on friday night and our race car vandalised whilst in the garages early saturday morning, the golf had electrics removed ,engine , gear box mounts removed , wishbones lossened basically it took 9 hours to put it all back togther for the race.
In my 20 odd years of motorsport i can't believe that somone would go so low. But we got it together and raced to a fine finish. Not bad for a team of mechanics that are new to motorsport. yes this was there 1st event.
So well done all the Boys from Total VAG in Leighton Buzzard.
If any one has any information regarding the damage done to our car the police are kean to speak to you.They have some information and the circuit cctv footage which is a great help.

k would do such a thing? Ive been racing for over ten years now and never had anything stolen/damaged..Sorry to hear this and hope the to55ers are caught and delt with. ps well done getting the car out.Andy thats shocking to hear. Sounds like the pikies were very specfic. I've heard of lap tops, phones etc and stuff being knicked at races before but engine mounts straight off the car etc and no one saw it.... man alive!!!!
Anyway, from our point of view in car 62 you guys were were like experienced 24hr racers with clear early signals for overtaking which was very impressive and keeps it all safe predicable, just how it should be.
I for one hope your out again next year.

As said yesterday really sorry to hear about the Golf and I didn't post anything about it as I didn't want it to be a rumour but I do hope whoever (and I mean whoever) did it does get caught as there is no place at all for that kind of thing in motor racing, no matter what.
Well done for a good drive though and for the team doing so well and we'll have to meet for a drink in the Wagon & Horses soon!
Thanks for all the kind words gregor i didn't realise that there was another web site other than www.nakedonthestreet.com until this morning . i am going to give up miglia racing at the end of this season and just do these enduro things, best fun i have had since going out with your sister.
I (and I'm sure everyone else who reads your post) will be shocked by the fact the Golf was "got at" before the race and I'm sure James Tucker (who posts on here) would be interested to know (if not already) as it is disgraceful and if you'd missed repairing something then who knows what sort of accident could have happened.

As for enduros you should be careful at your age and as for more fun than my sister, well, sitting next to a dirty, smelly, hairy man for 72 hours whilst being wet cold and miserable and destroying a perfectly good car (or in other words rallying) would be more fun that going out with her!!

I was a driver in the #96 BMW who finished second to the golf, I am shocked by the news that someone got at your car, I have never herd of this kind of thing happening.
I was living on site just behind your garage (which was next to ours) but didn’t see or hear anything.
Glad you got it sorted for the race, but you could have just done one more pit stop to make the finish even more interesting.
We just didn’t have the out write pace in the car, but we only had one puncture and one wheel bearing fail all race
But well done.... we will be back for another go next year
