Rate your Motor Club.

I rate the Bristol Uni Motor Club very highly! But i might be a tad biased (this is the 4th year i have been on the committee).
Seriously though, if you are a Bristol student (or happen to live nearby), it is a great club to start enjoying motorsports for very little cost.
Torbay Motor Club also seem good, although I have only attended 2 events so far.

I rate Bristol Motor Club highly, but then again I'm on the committee. As well as sprints, hillclimbs, a classic trial and a sporting trial we ran the first UK Autosolo a few years ago - they seem to have got quite popular in a relatively short space of time.

Porsche Club of the UAE - excellent - well managed and sorted.
UAE motorsports federation - used to do their Autocross events but they were rather badly managed and used to descend into chaos when certain people would decide that the thought the rules were wrong - so I don't bother any more.
As far as the national UAE motor federation - they have no support from me as they supported Mosely.

I am a member of the Motor Sport Club Bayreuth (www.msc-bayeuth.de) which has about 100 members. We run a kart slalom event for kids, a car slalom over 800 metres which attracts around 70 entrants & a rally sprint over 2 gravel special stages in quarries run twice - it was a proper rally with 6 stages but we lost access rights to 1 as a result of some rather unpleasent local politics & um, yes, Mr Mosely's activities got mentioned.
The majority of our active members compete in regional rally series although 1 prominent member of a local club has made it as far as the Junior WRC in a Suzuki.
The local clubs tend to help each other out with their bigger events - the largest & co-incidently the last in the season attracts 180 odd entries to a rally held over 5 seperate special stages in an area best described as being a bit like the hilly bits of Wales. http://www.msc-fr-schweiz.de/html/rallye.html - if you click the Ehrentafel you'll see that the most recent serial winner is a member of my club. Local knowledge counts. You might ask where are all the Evos & Imprezas, the answer is that they weren't readily available before 2000 & at that point turbo'd 4wd cars found themselves obliged to run air restrictors which made them slower than Escort Cosworths, for the most part. I expect to be marshalling this as I have in previous years - it's that or get press-ganged into co-driving again & although I enjoyed my time doing that I promised her indoors I wouldn't anymore 'cos she spotted all the trees about the place & got nervous.
I have to come back to Mr Mosely & his activities now, sorry. My club is a member of the ADAC which is currently in a period of non-coopertaion with the FIA as a result of it's President's activities. It's not what he does in his private time, it's the fact that he is now indelibly linked to the word Nazi (whether fairly or not) in the minds of the general public & being linked to that word is political suicide here. See 1st paragraph.
You may be aware the ADAC's membership of the FIA is up for scrutiny by the FIA shortly. There are alot of people at individual club level that wouldn't mind being lobbed out, as long as the ADAC can continue to support our local events that is. A straw pole I conducted at the last monthly meeting I attended indicated that 60% ish were of the opinion that we would be better off without the FIA & 100% that we would be better off without Mosely.
As for rating my club, I have to admit that it's my 1st club & thus it's very hard to compare. All I can say is that the majority of the members all seem to have known each other for 25-30 years & at the AGM the only guy willing to be the President is re-elected without question. I'm told that in other local clubs this isn't the situation.
