Having read 2 articles concerning Rollcentre and Embassy Racing on DSC, just wanted to voice my sadness at what appears to be the tip of the financial iceberg for Prototype racing. Rollcentre have now put there Pescarolo Judd on the market and Embassy have closed their doors on the LMS for now. Two great privateer teams that have supported GT/LMES/LMS racing for many seasons now. Wish both teams all the best for the future and hope they return to (LMS) racing soon...

I have different feelings about the two... Rollcentre appear to have always relied on sponsorship, most obviously from DB, and it's obvious that at the moment any funding from those sources is going to be difficult, so it's quite understandable. On the other hand I don't know much more than has been posted on DSC about Embassy's demise, but I think it is very strange that you would make a big deal about in the future becoming a major sportscar constructor if you did not already have the funding in place, for at least one or two development years and a 'championship' year. Just sounds like over-extending finances and it's a disappointment to everyone who's supported them, this happens far too much in all motorsport.

The reality is that Embassy did have the funding for the future - now, for reasons I won't go into, they don't.

Well if there is more to it than simply the current economic situation then perhaps I have been too harsh.
