Ayrton Senna photos

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get a particular photo of Ayrton Senna, I'm after the one taken of him in his car just before he goes out at Imola in 94?

It's in Tom Rubython's book and the caption reads something like "when this was taken he had less than 30 minutes to live" - It makes my spine tingle each time I see it.

I also want a good one of him in the JPS lotus but I can find one fairly easily via google. I just can't seem to find this specific one anywhere.

I am redecorating the spare bedroom and have decided to put up photos of cars and racers that are memorable, whether it be TVR related or motorsport heros. By doing that it means I don't have to put up with them all over the rest of the house!!

Any other racing suggestions welcome! So far I have a signed Sterling Moss one, some recent F1 pics taken by myself, Rossi and the "face" helmet, James Toseland, Button winning in Hungary and I'll have to get a Steve McQueen one.

The cahier archives might be a good first port of call (via google).

I have a superb shot of Senna in the McL out on his own at Donnington 93 on my wall, alongside the Estoril pit wall photo of 86, and Senna's lift from Mansell in 91.

Glad to share. Quick bit of history on those two.
Silverstone 92. Mate who worked for the local rag got two press passes for the tyre testing. Off I went, media bib, the whole shooting match. Press conference with Mansell, free lunch of smoked salmon sandwiches and strawberrys & cream (I jest not.). Beautiful sunny day, probably one of the best of life.
Monaco 85. First Grand Prix. One of three I went to that year. Had passes for the Hotel Mirabeau grandstand which included lunch served by the pool by waiters in DJs. That shot was taken in qualifying. They hadn't finished fixing one part of the fence, so myself and my friend took it turns to lean that bit further out. Senna as always that year was the first man round (snap). The next day for the race they had fixed the fence but it didn't matter as me and Andy had got our shots.

Imagine getting the chances of been able to do either of those things these days. Or even afford to go to three Grand Prixs!! If you can post the picces of your room when its done.

I don't know why I watched that. It still hurts today. Tragic loss, strange weekend all round, especially Sid's comments re-his conversation with Ayrton after Roland's tragic shunt.

How 80's is that pool photo, brilliant! Your story beats my "I went to school with Jenson Button" hands down. Oh well....
