Which just gives Max a licence to do whatever he wants. That's useful.

& this allows teams to blow loads of cash on updating their engines for next year & is emphtically NOT cost saving therefore.
Also, which F1 teams are allowed to do this & which aren't? Who decides? I smell a rat.

I think many on here find it hard to discuss anything to do with F1 without reference to him. Not a criticism of you, or anyone else, but more a criticism of F1.It is so devoid of sporting talking points that it has become a non-sport.
Other sport forums won't spend 80% of their time discussing the governing body, or accusing the top two competitors of cheating.
Motor sport has an inherent problem as a sport. Not only is the playing field uneven for the drivers, the uneven-ness is complex and unquantifiable.
Makes for some gripping theatre, but very poor sport.
