As The Dragons say 'I am out' - this will come around too quickly for me, too much cash too soon. Late in 2009 and I am in again.

I expect everyone has a view, but no-one take much notice of provisional dates until after Autosport when are firmed up, usually after a host of changes.....

You learn not to take too much notice of JT's comments. It is his way of getting a reaction.

But why would you have a 24hr Race at the begining of the season??? Isn't everyone preparing their cars for the up coming championship?

Saying that, is there going to be a Championship next year?

I thought that the date on the Britcar website was a mistake. Why not make it BOLD and headline news that the next 24 hour race will be in April.

I thought a race requires several cars.

It does seem very strange to dramatically change something that was getting known at a certain time of year

Wow, got to hand it to you JT, you`ve certainly got some balls. For so many reasons this seems wrong.

Established as a September event for a number of years and so everyone expecting it then.

Loads of people won`t have got their act together by April.

The 24 hour is a one off event and people will be setting their stalls out for the forthcoming season in whichever series takes their fancy. Not sure they`ll be able to rebuild their cars in time their first race a week later !!

On so many levels I`ve got a really bad feeling about this one

I don't think there is a way we can do it. 12 months was about possible but 6 months to get the cash, spares and car together in a spec capable of defending out previous class win just isn't looking possible at the moment.

All in all its screwed us :-(

I wonder if circuit hire in April is cheaper than in September - perhaps Silverstone have offered a cheaper deal, or maybe they need the Sept date for something else and gave JT no choice. Either way an explanation would be welcome.
