I don't know about you lot, but I'm hoping that Lewis and Massa screw up in the last two races, taking each other off and allowing Kubica to sneak through and win the championship for BMW, a breath of fresh air...

Let's also hope that next year that Ferrari and McLaren are off the pace and we have some great races with the likes of Red Bull, BMW and Honda.

It would make a refreshing change also to this board which has been taken over by a mentality normally reserved for the football terraces smile

I think the best outcome of the '08 season would for Spanky to bugger off and take his usless stewards with him.

I can understand why many feel that FA doesn't "deserve" the title based on his attitude and blatant assistance from the FIA.

But LH has taken so much crap from the FIA since he came into F1, made mistakes and admitted them, but still wants to keep pushing. His persistence can come across as arrogant, but he fights for every point he gets. His every attempt has been impeded by unprecedented regulations, yet he still makes an effort to RACE. He should be applauded for his tenacity, and would be highly deserving of the title.

It would also be great to see Kubica sneak in there. He is a genuine talent and has been out of the limelight. But one would be foolish to suggest that if it were he (rather than LH) and Massa fighting for the title, that he wouldn't currently be in the same situation as LH as far as the FIA and the Media are concerned.

Dont mind, I just want to see two RACES with no FIA meddling and over policing. At least then whoever does win can take something from the victory.

I would hate to see the championship decided through a stewards decision but with the points so close now there is a fair chance this could happen...

Agreed.

Trouble is, it already has been effected by the judicial decisions IMO.

I'd be quite happy to see Kubica win, I'm always a fan of the "dark horse" and he seems like a nice guy.

Personally i'd like to see L.H win. Purely since he is still the most entertaining driver out there and to be honest, good and bad, has injected a much needed spark into the sport and got people talking about F1 again beyond "Its a dull procession"

And i'd like to see Massa cry as he gets on my nerves at the moment..

Definitely a 'playground' opinion.. but hey, what the heck.. smile

Massa is going to win - no question now
Shanghai is a Ferrari track - so Massa to win
Interlagos is a Massa track - home advantage - so Massa wins

Regardless of points and where Lewis comes (he'd need to finish second at both races, to take the title and that's not easy when you're going to be worried about defending against Massa or anyone else and getting a penalty for pretty much anything)
It will be:
7 wins to Massa
4 wins to Hamilton

On paper Massa has the most wins - so he's done a good job.
But i despise the way he's been helped there by the dubious steward decisions (Magny Cours) to the downright scandelous decisions, Spa & Shanghai.

Hamilton's only chance is go out and win this weekend and hope for a Massa retirement. I think we're more likely to see another incident. Thankfully Massa is still behind, so hopefully we won't see a Schuey style punt.

If he can pull off that kind of stunt on purpose without damaging his car and taking out his rival, he deserves some reward hehe

Maybe he's improved Schuey's advice with more guidance from Maradonna?

Kubica hasn't had anywhere near a championship winning season. He's great and a potential WDC without doubt, but not this year I hope.

Massa and Hamilton have both made errors - Massa's British GP performance alone is enough to question whether he is really deserving of a title. But I'm also generally of the view that the driver with the most wins often most deserves the championship.

If Massa can seal off the next two GP's with convincing wins to take the title, then so be it. But one wet race and a level head could be all that's needed to give it to Hamilton.

Massa is going to win, and I am going to ring William Hill up and place a bet
on him explaining how the Fia have fixed the championship again, and suggest to them
after my bet they may like to close the book on the fixed circus called F1.

I think the best outcome would be an 'insider' exposing the real workings of the FIA. There is so much mistrust with the management/stewards that the results become irrelevant. What we need is to either find out it's totally rigged or completely fair.

Actually, I think the best outcome is that James Allen won't commentate any more. Now that's a real result we can all cheer!

Cone on guys, Kubica and Alonso have been feeding off Ferrai and Mclarens mis-haps/Scras all season. Kubica winning the title would be a complete farce.

Its purely down to the two best drivers this season and thats down to Lewis and Massa. Both maybe mentally fragile and it could go either way though if i had to place a bet then Lewis will win it, maybe even this weekend ASLONG as the FIA stay out of it.

Lewis deservers the title purely for the fact he hasn't given up.
Massa does not deserve it. silverstone. handed the Spa win. should have had penalties at Valencia and more at japan.

as much as i hate him, had Alonso stayed with Mclaren, i feel he would have secured the title already. not just through winning races but due to the FIA interfering.

Doesn't really matter who wins, the (otherwise brilliant) championship has been tainted by all the FIA meddling, we are at the point where drivers aren't even being allowed to race because of fear of being penalised. For years we had crap racing and no meddling, now we have good racing but the result rarely stands, do the FIA have something against F1 actually just being good?

I too would love to see Kubica win the championship as I believe he is the most deserving driver (has hung in there by his fingernails in a car that is clearly not the fastest out there)

If Hamilton wins it I believe his already hard to take arrogance and self belief will become unbearable.

If Massa (who I was shouting for prior to Singapore) wins then the Championship will be tainted as he will have won due to FIA assistance.

Whats this Lewis is arrogant CRAP that i keep hearing? Tell me any driver or winner of ANY SPORT who is not a tad arrogant? I find this a pathetic reason for not wanting Lewis to win.

IMO Lewis is more than a tad arrogant, I understand he needs to have self belief but does he need to be so blatant about it, when he has proven himself (ie. delivered a couple of championships) then he will have earned the right to have this attitude, as it is he has proven he is good certainly, but he now has to prove he can be great. Michael Schumacher wasn't as open about his self belief in his early days as Hamilton is, I think he would be doing himself a big favour if he brought it down a notch or two(in terms of the publics view of him).

And I don't believe its a pathetic reason to no want him to win, I believe a great champion should be, fast, consistant, disappointed in defeat and humble in victory.

If your opinion differs from mine then fair enough I'm happy to agree to differ.

call Lewis arrogant, he is, and quite happy to be. so was Schumacher, montoya, Massa, etc etc etc etc. get the point? arrogance is just a trait of most drivers. Rubens can be as arrogant as the next guy, but everyone recognises him as the smiling cheerful guy.

i really really wish people would stop going on and on and on about how arrogant Lewis is, like he is the only one and doesn't have a right to be.

Arrogance does not make the man. let his actions give you the insight you need on him.
